This short story is also written by Yamaguchi sensei and published in the official animation book that was released on April 25th. The timeline of this story is before Katarina’s 15th birthday banquet.

Hi! So I’ve been wondering, besides the bed scene with Katarina, does Nicol get any other notable moments/development in the Light Novels? I know that he’s pretty underrated and in the background a lot...but he’s also my favorite character! So I’d like to know more (I assume it’s not much, but I’ll take what I can get) I’m fine with spoilers so please share your knowledge with me!

@princessofdawn718 You have no idea Nicol has always been one of my favorites, like how can anyone hate that child. I swear Katarina is so mood, I literally scream same every time I see him.
I never knew that the fandom here treats him like that WHAT’S WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU (but then again welcome to the west) and this is seriously freaking sad because he have been through a lot and his emotionless face is nothing but a prove of all those unfortunate events like again, same with Gerald you stupid haters did you even care to check why?? this part always breaks my heart to small pieces so LET ME BREAK YOURS:

Go check the whole version and read the LNs then come to me, look at me in the eyes and tell me you hate him and he have no personality.
The reason why I always talks about Gerald is becuase he’s getting a lot of nosense unfair hate just because he’s the main lead and the more likely to end up with Katarina. This kind of unjustified hate is unacceptble becuase at the end, all those angry shippers end up messing up the series on thier self and the others. As result I feel like it’s important for somneone to talk about it and what’s actually happening in the canon source material.
Now that I know Nicol is getting a similar treatment is even worse becuase that poor boy dont have much chances with Katarina, which mean even less screen time and it hurts becuase if the author is not going to give us any Nicol material nothing will change.
In the case of Gerald it’s easy to talk because geokata is more or less the main ship so we get so many events and developments, but with Nicol it’s much harder to say anything from all the small events, as whenever Nicol is having a moment it’s like the whole harem had a moment at the same time. There’s just no real meat.
But looking at Volume 8 which didn’t come out that long (vol9 was just different than all other volumes I swear it’s like extra story so lets not count it for now) we got finally some real Nikol events and I believe with time we will get more. It’s hard to believe the author will just leave him out like that, especially if what I heard about the author trying to conclude the feelings of each character to prepare for the ending is true.
Also, there’s still the thing with the fiancée of Nicol who will/might be introduced soon, and who knows, we might get a new female harem member, but nevertheless a new Nicol ship (as I believe it will follow the Alamary pattern) and as a result more Nicol screentime.

Hei all!! you wanna tell me that no one is translating all the adorable short special stories released on the website, blurays or with the SS version ?? THIS IS NOT OKAY AT ALL
Unfortunately, since it’s all specials it won’t be included in the volumes which means J-Novels will never translate all these quality stuff. For that reason I decided to translate some of them. (I have like zero faith in my skills so some is better than nothing).
It’s all short stories so it’s easier to transalte than chapters. As far as I know (since it’s also on the offical website) it’s all written by the author which means it’s all canon. I’m going to transalte only the stories I’m 99% sure of it meaning, such as this easy one.
Basically this story was published on the website close to the release date of volume 9, it’s very likely that it’s a part of the SS material ?? anyway it’s freaking cute and you feel a kind of deja vu with the events of volume 6 but no worries there’s no spoilers and everyone can read it.
