Hi! So I’ve been wondering, besides the bed scene with Katarina, does Nicol get any other notable moments/development in the Light Novels? I know that he’s pretty underrated and in the background a lot...but he’s also my favorite character! So I’d like to know more (I assume it’s not much, but I’ll take what I can get) I’m fine with spoilers so please share your knowledge with me!

Actually this is exactly what everyone is wondering as well. The whole thing was explained from gerald’s point of view so we have no clue about the brothers.
I would guess that Alan is too dense as our beloved Katarina and innocent in a way to not care or worry over such stuff, Ian is too serious and looks like he’s the kind to look forward to into the future rather than worrying about the past, which leave us to Jeffery who actually might be thinking the same as Gerald?? I mean, perhaps for this reason, is that he overprotects his siblings in the first place and tries to support his brothers to prevent any thorn fight that could cause history to repeat itself.
I would go with that Gerald and Jeffrey are the only ones who think about those things and behind their smiles, they are only trying to protect what matters to them.
In able for you to judge better I tried to fan-translate the whole second chapter of volume 7. I warn you my translation is the worst quality but I tried my best so I hope you can take at least the fruit out of it. (You can read chapter 1 of vol 7 for free from J-novels )

I'm curious with the plot of the upcoming novels. I'm already at volume 5 and the volume 6 translation of the novel is not gonna be in until june 2020. Jeord and Katarina will always be my favorite ship. I honestly think that Katarina should be queen. She can change their kingdom. What are your thoughts on this? I also loved the dynamic between Katarina and her parents. Will we see more of them in the upcoming volumes? Thank you so much.

Sure no worries, It all started with the kidnapping fo Keith in volume 4. She was trying to save him from dark magic but mistakenly claimed a fluffy dog called “ Pochi” who’s created from the dark magic that was cast on him and ever since then she’s getting more and more involved with dark magic. Especially since she joined the Ministery of magic and started to deal with cases where black magic is involved.
I hope that answered your question, Since volume 4 is already translated give it a try! I totally recommend it.
wait wait wait based on what you said, so the Geordo Letter scene is from the light novel??? What Volume?? did I somehow miss it when I was reading or is it in future volumes?
Karylle thank you so much for asking, you literally opened my eyes. What was on my mind the whole time was this:
On Twitter there has been so much talk about this when it came out but I never really got the chance to have it myself. I have always thought that this was an LN special included in volume 3 under the same name of “ A letter from Katarina”. ( Like just look at the cover )
But oh boy I was wrong.
I just investigated it further and it appeared to be the same manga version. I literally thought it was the LN version because usually extra chapters are included within the volumes and not separated. Also, the way everyone was screaming about the canon scenes made me think this whole time that it was LN extra just like all the other Bakarina SS materials included in special editions.
Anyway, I apologize it was a misunderstanding from my side. I shouldn’t have said that when I wasn’t completely sure. But indeed, there doesn’t seem to be any LN version of this extra chapter. Nevertheless, the author of this extra chapter is Satoru Yamaguchi himself so that doesn’t make it any less canon from LN.
I won’t write anything late at night again.
